I know ragdolls have thicker coats in the winter. I would love to see pictures of your kitty in both summer and winter to compare.

This is one of my favorite photos of the Late, Great Smudge.
It was taken on a December afternoon when he was about 23 months old and was just developing his full adult coat.

Keep in mind that the more carefree traditional Ragdoll coat is moderately long (lacking most awn hairs). Longer more Persian like coats are likely to have more grooming issues. In any event, Ragdolls do go in and out of coat, often seasonally.

Other than some profuse shedding in the spring and fall I don't see a noticeable change in Tiki's coat. He's always fluffy! I do however notice a big change from when he was a kitten.
When he was 5 months:

The only Raggie of mine that I notice a huge difference in coat is Katy. The boys don't look all that different to me, perhaps it doesn't get cold enough for long enough over here.
