First night with my ragdoll - NatsFan78 - 11-10-2019

I finally brought my Jaxon home yesterday! It was an extremely long day and we were all exhausted. After four and a half hours sitting in the car he was a bundle of energy when we got home. I was so worried about him adjusting but after about five minutes it was like he had been here forever. We let him run wild, exploring and wearing himself out for about two hours before bed.

When we went to bed last night I sat him down on the bed before I laid down. To be honest I did not expect him to stay. After I laid down he was still where I had sat him down, near the bottom of my legs. I reached down and scooped him up, placing him next to my chest. He immediately starting purring so loud! He crawled all around my head, licking my nose and tasting my hair, before finally settling in for the night. He spent the entire night sleeping on my neck with his head either on my cheek or tucked under my chin. I thought it was incredibly adorable and funny. If he makes a habit of it I am certain it will not be as funny when he gets bigger.

He is such a sweet, silly boy. I love him so much!!

GREAT. Who could expect more.

As a word of caution, kittens can act like this for a while, then get comfortable and want to go off and play and explore. Do not worry. The cuddle bug will very likely "return."

It was a very good idea to take him to bed for cuddle when you retire, since, even cats who will immediately leave, seem more likely to return during the night.

Congrats Michelle! Sounds like he's just perfect. I wholeheartedly agree that bringing him to bed, even if he doesn't stay is a super idea. I did that with both of mine and they soon learned to come to bed with me and stay most of the night.
Looking forward to pictures!! Here's one of my monkey Tiki that I took when I awoke to his sweet soft purr behind my head on my pillow. He's 21 pounds but it doesn't disturb my sleep when he's there. It is a sweet and comforting presence and he's so happy when I open my eyes!

Thank you so much! I was shocked he stayed on me the entire night, he never left my neck lol. He runs and plays with his toys and explores for a few minutes then comes to sit as close to my face as possible for snuggles. After a few minutes he is off again lol. He is absolutely perfect! I will upload pictures later today. Unfortunately we are all sick again, caught another bug from my grandson, so we are having a very lazy day. Tiki is stunning!!

Thank you, he truly is the most perfect little guy! I posted a couple of pictures on the forum’s Facebook page. I will post some here tomorrow. I have been laying around sick all day but Jaxon has been keeping me company.

Kitty medicine even from the babies. Very effective.

Thank you, we are going for his vet check up now. If I feel human this afternoon I will try to get some pictures uploaded.

You will be amazed how quickly your body will adapt to the extra weight (even if Jaxon becomes a 19+ pounder). Having that furry face tucked under your chin is the best feeling in the world. Jaxon sounds like the purrfect kitten. Congrats and enjoy.
