TLC Whole Foods Cat Food - MissViv - 11-10-2020

Anyone ever used this cat food?  Supposed to be good for kittens and cats.

Do you perhaps have a link for this food? I tried to look it up on the internet and couldn't find cat food. Smile

It's odd when I go to the link it blocks me and on one occasion said it's an unsafe search.

Sorry I can't give you any help other than what I know and use myself which is the Hill's Science c/d for urinary care. I feed this to Cody and Katy and they have done well on it till now.

I intend to transition Wesley on the Hill's kitten when he's settled in. He's currently on the RC kitten, which is also good, but my cats have always done well on the Hill's so I'm staying with what I know and have had good results with.

Hopefully someone else might be able to give you some more input regarding the food. Smile

I got blocked when I tried to use the link as well...

Not sure if it's because I'm in Australia??? Sorry I can't help.

I use Royal Canin for Fluffy (his breeder used it so I kept it up).

Well, the breeder I am getting my ragdoll from uses it but the minimum order is for 3 5# bags at $55.00. Not sure I want to buy that much.

I am using Orijen & Instinct Ultimate Protein for dry food (mixed) as of now and Phoebe seems to like it (has lots of meat). I also feed wet food. I have a picky eater in Phoebe and she throws up easily so I try to stick to what her stomach can tolerate. But thinking about buying Hill's Kitten Food for my new kitten.

Phoebe will only eat wet food in gravy form and then she wastes most of it because she only licks the gravy off. I buy her the expensive cans of food, blue wilderness right now at $1.28 a 3 oz. can. Just ordered 24 cans from Chewy for $1.19 can. Hoping the new kitten will eat what Phoebe does not so it will not go to waste. She likes Instinct pouches too (also expensive).

Some cats are munchers and some are slurpers.  Pooka is a slurper.  She likes what we call Cream of Yuk Soup.  I put her wet food into my mini blender with a 1/4 to 1/3 can of water (depending on original consistency) and turn it into a somewhat thick liquid.  She prefers it warm so I microwave it for 8 seconds.  You may want to try this for Phoebe....it would be like have a dish of gravy.

Thanks, I will try that.  At least she would be eating some of the meat instead of just gravy.

Start out with the same food the breeder is feeding. After some time for adjustment to your home, convert to a kitten food (not merely all life stages) of a good food.

RE: TLC Whole Foods Cat Food - MissViv - 11-21-2020

I picked up my new kitten, Jewels, yesterday and when we got home I put some of the TLC dry food in her dish and she started eating immediately. She was HUNGRY! So glad that I purchased the food the breeder was using.

I have watched youtube videos ever since I decided to get a ragdoll and a lot of new kittens will not eat for the first day but she is doing well. She ate her wet food this morning. Taking her to the vet for a wellness checkup later this morning. She is 13 weeks old but she is so TINY! She is so adorable, my dear husband slept with her last night in the nursery we set up for her. We have to keep her separate from our resident cat for a week or two but they did meet. Resident cat, Phoebe, is curious but she did growl and hissed. Being very careful with them. I want them to have a great relationship!
