It's been so exciting and so educational as well. I read a little about that last conference Denny Dayton attended and accounts from people who attended the conference here:

http://ragdollhistoricalsociety.org/

As a new ragdoll mum I searched endlessly during those first two years for accurate information about the breed. I very much admired the work of Laura and Denny Dayton. So when I heard your breeder had actually spoken with Denny and:

promised Denny that they would strive to breed Ragdolls after the standard they (Denny and his wife Laura) had strived for

I was thrilled beyond belief!!! Also devastated that the breeder is retiring and this was the last litter. Knowing that Fozzy, Katy and Wesley have been bred according to the Dayton standard explains the way I feel when I see them. To me they represent the epitome of ragdoll breeding.

I knew I was in the right place when I joined these boards - and I'm more excited than ever to watch young Wesley grow up. I know Wesley has helped heal the heartache you felt after losing Fozzy and Mittens and I'm glad he has brought such joy into your life. Thank-you for sharing that joy here... Heart

Wow! That's wonderful! He must have been amazing, as indeed I believe all your cats must all be too.

Managed to grab the camera today, Wesley was being sooo CUTE! Here are just a few so long. He'll be 6 months old in two days time. (Can you believe it!)

Hope to upload some others soon, then I can share them too.

Happy 6 month Birthday Wesley!!! Heart

These photos are absolutely stunning Colleen and the english language does not contain enough superlatives to describe Wesley. I've decided today's word for Wesley is: STUPENDOUS

1: causing astonishment or wonder : awesome, marvelous.
2: of amazing size or greatness : tremendous.

The second photo of him looking directly at the camera (with the wiggly worm trapped under his paw) left me speechless...

I adore him...

Thank you so much my dear friend, he really is as you say: 'Beyond adorable!' I thought the kitten stage was going to be challenging to get through, but he is so much fun. If a cat could have a sense of humour, then he's definitely got one! LOL Wink

Thank you Helen, I'm enjoying him even more than I thought I would. Noah must have grown so much already too, the kitten stage really passes too quickly.

Thank you Gina! I didn't want to steal Katy's thunder (as it is her birthday), but today Wesley is officially 6 months old, so exactly 6 1/2 years younger than his aunty. Smile

Wesley has literally been growing in front of our eyes, I've never had a kitten like him in that I can watch him grow!
He's over 4kg already and not much smaller than Cody anymore. I'm not sure whether he'll continue growing at this pace but he has changed SO MUCH in the almost 3 months since he came home.

Some more cute pics from the other day!

As I mentioned previously he LOVES playing peekaboo. Well, all he could find to hide behind are some artificial flowers belonging to Granny which he rearranged for the purpose. LOL!
