We are the little pink dot the typhoon is aiming for. Fortunately will only be a cat 3. I cannot believe I am so used to this. Seriously! Everyone is holed up and just waiting. I feel really calm. So happy to have this new concrete house!

All is well! I actually slept through it. So happy that the power stayed on throughout. Still raining buckets and some flooding in the kitchen where the water came in under the door but nothing thick towels cannot manage. No damage to the exterior. No classes again today, mostly because the schools are used as shelters but we anticipate returning on Wednesday. I feel bad for the families still living in tents for the past year. Twice now in just a few weeks, the mayor’s office comes to dismantle the tents...put them back up...dismantle again...put them up again...gheesh!

So very happy to learn that that you are safe and that damage was minimal. I didn't realize that there were families still living tents. I can't even imagine what that would be like.
