RE: Not Ragdolls - Ragstimes1 - 11-29-2020

I looked at the paper pellet litter and the bags were either 30 or 40 pounds, which I can't lift.  We got a bag of corn and a bag of corn/wheat and at six months old, shouldn't be eating litter anyway.  They've got a great supply of kitten wet food and dry food - got royal canin kitten/mom chow and a small bag of blue buffalo kitten.  I like blue buffalo best of all.  Still emptying out rooms so I can run the carpet shampooer (thanks Jamie) however, I had a handyman here who said there is no smell at all in the house.  Every time I saw Jamie tinkle on the floor, I sprayed it with the Bissel spray that is made specifically for that and there is no odor and no stain.  I want to do the living room today.  We got the huge tall perch back into the living room today.  Man, did that free up space in the den.  One more day and then I go Tuesday early afternoon to make sure Jamie picked out the right ones.

I have a soft spot for silver tabbies - can't wait to meet them...

RE: Not Ragdolls - Ragstimes1 - 11-30-2020

got pix of the girls today but I can't get them over to this spot.  willow has white on her chest and coco has a little brown there.  They both look like they're saying "Are you my Mom?"  Eileen from the shelter said they are 6 months old and a little hefty.  If you haven't had ragdolls, you don't know what hefty is.  Told her the stuff I'd picked up yesterday and she said the thought I was ready - LOL.  Food, litter, you name it.  They are adorable.  My vet is going to melt.

Hi Sue I have pm'd you also under frequently asked questions there is a Photo Posting Tutorial Using Flickr. Can't wait to see the photo of the girls. How soon before you get them?

RE: Not Ragdolls - Ragstimes1 - 11-30-2020

Tomorrow, Helen, Tomorrow!!  I don't have flickr and used to know how to post on the old board.  I may just send some pictures to you to post.  I couldn't get the two pic to post here so I'll send them to you to post for me.  I shampoo'd all the rugs on the first floor where jamie had his accidents and will wet mop the kitchen tomorrow.  I can't wait for my vets to see them.  I got a call from the shelter confirming my pickup tomorrow and she said she didn't know who was more excited - me or their fostermom who will be there tomorrow to fill me in on them.  I'll go send you an email now with their picture.  Can you delete the part from the person who sent it to me and I can tell you that Willow is on the left and has white on her chest.  Coco is on the right and has a little bit of brown on her chest.  We can't tell from the picture whether she is a brown tabby or a silver one but they've said they are both silver.  I've thanked Jamie for finding them for me and assured him that although they are girls, I doubted that they had cooties - LOL.

RE: Not Ragdolls - Ragstimes1 - 12-01-2020

Helen,

Thank you for the kind words and for posting the girls for me.  I'm so excited about going to get them tomorrow.  I just looked at all the things I have to put away and I hope the girls have a sense of humor - LOL.  At least the carpets are clean.  I'll keep at it until things are finished.  I'm glad that the girls are as big as they are.  Having littles is somewhat scary.    Some of the shelters have kittens as young as 2 months.  That's just too little.  Six months is just about right.  This ought to be interesting and it will be nice to have company in the house again.
