My boy is in recovery..still a little groggy, but doing well. I can pick him up at 4:30. The doctor will call later to tell me about the mass...prior to surgery he was confident that it was a benign lipoma, so I am not too concerned that anything has changed.

My boy is home. The mass was all benign fat cells, but larger than it appeared from outside. He has a 3.5 inch incision and will have to go back for suture removal in about 12 days. And, oh boy, is he ever starving. I am trying to slow him down a bit so he doesn't upset his stomach...easier said than done. He has pain killers for the next 3 days.

I'm so glad to hear that things went so well for your boy and it was all benign. It's scary when they need surgery - I remember when Jamie had his ear operated on. Your imagination gets 30 steps ahead of what is real. I'll bet he has a lot of food to eat to make up for what he missed. Give the boy a hug from Auntie Sue.
