I just got back from visiting him in the hospital. He really seemed happy that I was there. Lots of head bonks and snuggles and NO bites...I may have never told you that Paddy is a vicious LOVE biter (he tells me it is a love thing....hmmmm?????). The doctor is removing the catheter tomorrow mid morning. If Paddy can go on his own by evening, I can take him home. If he has no success, it will be at least one more day. The really good news is his kidney panel came back A-OK. So this is bladder or urethra issue...much less dangerous.

Glad to see this update. (If the bite is more of a pinch, then it is grooming/affection. Or he may blame you for being confined, poked and prodded. As long as it makes him feel better, I am sure you are happy to provide this relief for him.)

He is still in the hospital and still catharized and on fluids. I am very frightened. I don't think this is going the way the doctors expected. I have not called today because I am afraid of the answers. I am sort of doing the "no news is good news" mantra. When I visited yesterday I got him to eat a tiny bit of the food I brought for him but then he just sort shut down into a depression attitude. If permitted, I will visit with him again this afternoon.
