New member - cfred - 05-31-2019 Hello, my name is Fred. I'm glad I found this Ragdoll site. I just lost my Charlie Brown to coyotes, only takes one moment of inattention. He was 10 years old, and I was looking forward to 10 more. So sad.... I have already started looking for another Ragdoll, maybe 2.. RE: New member - Tikismom - 05-31-2019 Welcome to the site Fred. My most sincere condolences for your loss. I wish you luck in your search for a new Ragdoll or two. Please feel free to post if you need help finding a reputable breeder. There are great people here who would be pleased to help you. We have coyotes in my city too. The average life span is less than two years in Calgary for an outdoor cat. I've witnessed a coyote on cat attack and it happened in the blink of an eye. Tragic. RE: New member - HelenMac - 05-31-2019 Welcome Fred. Very sorry for your loss. RE: New member - JanH - 06-01-2019 Welcome to the site. Two cats are a good idea, particularly for Ragdolls. The vast majority enjoy feline companionship and it means they are not alone when the two footed family is out. Littermates work well, because there is no introduction phase for them. ALWAYS INDOORS. The estimated life expectancy of an indoor/outdoor cat is about half that of an indoor only cat. RE: New member - Smudge's Mom - 06-01-2019 Welcome, Fred. I am so sorry that you found us under such sad circumstances. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you through this difficult time. RE: New member - Codysmom - 06-01-2019 Welcome to the forum Fred, I'm so terribly sorry for your tragic loss I can understand how devasted you must feel. Wishing you all the best in your search for a reputable breeder. And yes, two are better than one in the case of Ragdolls. I have 3 Raggies and they like to be in each others company. |
