Some flowers in the garden... - Codysmom - 01-06-2020

I may have shared some of these on the old forum, but with all the horrible fires in Australia and the cold in the Northern hemisphere, I thought I'd share something beautiful to look at. xo

Oh, so beautiful.... Thank you. My very dear friend lives in Sunbury, AU. Half the town was destroyed. Lis, Pete and the Furries were lucky. The winds blew away from the side they live in.

Gorgeous pictures, thank you for sharing. The devastation in Australia is heartbreaking.

So sorry to hear the news about your friend's town - but very, very happy to hear they survived Heart

Thanks Colleen! They're absolutely stunning and I'm (or was!) a keen gardener so I really appreciate them! Your talent is absolutely extraordinary! Fluff and I are OK and we REALLY appreciate hearing good news and having a laugh and a play.

Underneath all that is a kind of shock that this is the new normal. We've had a reprieve for a few days and some light showers, but the bush-fire season is far from over. Sydney's dam levels are at 43% and the news is pretty grim.

However - A friend sent me some photos of her flame-point ragdoll kitten and it cheered me up so much. He's a cheeky little cutie!!! We had been anticipating his arrival for some time so it was great to celebrate his home-coming.

How is it in your area now Fluffy's Mum? Thinking of you all over there. xo

We've had two days of blissful rain with significant falls along the east coast of Australia. Fluffy and I have been so very fortunate...

But some areas are still very dry and the fires are down to double digits (rather than triple digits). The devastation to the wildlife is so difficult to witness, but watching the humans mobilize to help them (and each other) is also so uplifting.
