Is the corona virus that is killing people in China, the same one that converts to FIP and kills cats?

There are many CVs, including ones that cause the human common cold. So, there is not just one CV and some are rather benign and some are deadly. Some are species specific and some are communicable among species. This particular one in China is of animal origin and has infected humans and can be spread among us. MERS and SARS are two dangerous ones.

Thanks for the info. Since this one was of animal origin, does it mean that the humans can pass it on (or back ) to cats?
