Pooka and Paddy just got back from their Senior Exams. Both are in excellent condition...neither need a dental Pooka is 18 and has never needed her teeth cleaned and Paddy had his done the first week I got him 10 years ago and has never needed another. I truly swear by Oxyfresh used daily in their water. Paddy lost a half pound this year which is good. He is still technically overweight, but the doctor says he is the most solidly muscled cat he has ever seen and as long as he doesn't start gaining again, we are not going to worry. Pooka is down 3/4 of a pound (13 lbs. 11 oz.) but because she eats liked a demented vulture, Dr. Brown is running a T3/T4 thyroid panel to make sure nothing is going on even though her heart rate and respiration are showing no abnormal increases. He says she may be just burning calories running (slip-sliding, gimping) to her food dish 20 times a day. She walks like a little old lady, but is not showing any signs of being in actual pain. She seems to enjoy having her hips and lower back massaged and never winces when she is touched or climbs onto the couch to pee....can't ask for more than that. All in all, a great day.

That's FANTASTIC news Gina! So glad for you. I've recently started using an additive in my pets water lately, can't get that particular brand you're using, I can get "Fresh Breath" by Tropiclean. It says 'no brushing' needed. So hopefully it's good. I'll seen when they go for their next vet check.

Folks report good results with these. However, if a cat develops heart issues, make sure the vet knows about it. The salts in them can be an issue with a heart patient.

This is great news - might have to look for that brand. I have another but the dang kitties know when it is in their water
