Clovid 19 in the Marianas - Khyeranggi - 03-25-2020

We have no cases here, but 29 on Guam. All International travel is shut down which is good and bad as our economy is tanking as tourism is our only industry. Personally, I like the quiet. Stores are only open from 6am to 1pm, so we buy our liquor in the morning which makes us feel like drunkards. Schools are shut down till end of school year so I have a lot of time on my hands to garden and enjoy my new house. Of course, all restoration is shut down due to lack of workers, so I am tending garden. No hot water, because I have to wait for a ship to bring in the pipe I need. We have so many super foods growing naturally here. I spend my time time really excited about that and watching YouTube videos about growing them. They are right here! Who knew? Share your hopes and dreams here. I am so excited about what grows here. Sorry I misspelled the virus! It needed an L.

Oh please take some photos of your plant life and tell us how you prepare them. One of our local markets has always carried a number of strange looking tropical fruits but I have no idea what they taste like or what you do with them.

Will do.
Right now we are both cursed and blessed. We now have 8 confirmed cases and
1 death. Our government has shut down all flights in and out except for cargo and medical flights. Because we have no tourists, our resorts are being used for quarantine for anyone suspected. Over 170 folks are housed at Kanoa Resort and the Pacific Island Club. Not so bad for us as those rooms are vacation destinations and free of charge for folks for 2 weeks. The curse is that tourism is our major industry, so the government is broke and folks are furloughed and have no income. No shut down of utilities and grace periods for bank loans. Folks working in hotels and restaurants are in dire straights, but hoping for the federal unemployment insurance. Schools are closed but we are moving online come Monday.
