coping with lockdown... - MUM_of_FLUFFY - 04-22-2020

I haven't seen my 83 year old Mum since the restrictions commenced, but we do talk on the phone and exchange memes and youtube clips. This is a link to our favourite youtube clip at the moment. It never fails to uplift my mood and remind me of the good and kindness in the world. I hope you like it...

That is so lovely. Just watching how he loves those kitties and how they reciprocate that love. Thanks for sharing, that made me smile. Smile x

Is there anything more attractive than a man who succumbs to the charms of a cat?
Thanks for sharing that.

Real men don't like quiche. Real men don't like cats. Whoever came up with that idiocy???????

RE: coping with lockdown... - admin - 07-25-2020

Pretty sure it was men...
When I was a kid my dad always complained about the cats, how they were always under his feet, running up and down the piano keys for attention, and generally the bane of his existence. Yet if I got up at night I'd see him in his lazyboy with all of them curled up in his lap with a big smile on his face. "Real" men pretend not to love cats until nobody is looking. He's in the hospital now and won't be coming home so I have rehomed the 2 cats that he got 15 years ago when he divorced my mom and realized how empty a house is without them. He has advanced dementia now but he remembers a few things and 2 of them are his cats...

It was so good for me to re-visit this clip. It doesn't matter how many times I watch it, everytime I feel that same sense of wonder and absolute joy I felt the first time I saw it...
