It's late winter here in Australia and almost spring!!! The bougainvillea I planted has started to colour and by the end of summer it should finally cover that hideous brick wall I can't stand looking at.

I will do a happy dance when that happens!!!

I hate that plant here. So beautiful! But it takes over everything. It is so beautiful but hard to cut back. It is invasive here. Good for thorny hedges, but here it just is like intrusive. Those flowers are astonishing, but when they take over, god help ya!

Funny! One persons pleaser is another persons nightmare.

Seriously we are in constant fight to cut it back, then again, I live in paradise.

I know...it can be very invasive and should only be planted with care and consideration. I bought a cordless battery operated hedge trimmer to keep it under control. I must admit I absolutely love wielding the hedge trimmer!!!
