Woodpeckers are BRAVE - Smudge's Mom - 09-06-2020 Today, all of the woodpeckers showed up. I have Downy, Hairy, Red-bellied, Pileated, and Flickers. None are in the least afraid of the Wild Bunch. RE: Woodpeckers are BRAVE - Codysmom - 09-08-2020 Where are the photos!? Would LOVE to see them. RE: Woodpeckers are BRAVE - Smudge's Mom - 09-08-2020 It has been pouring for the past 2 days...hopefully it will clear up on Thursday and I can try to get some shots...not good ones, but enough to show that they are here. So I am guessing that these were not my birds who got brave, but rather, migrating individuals who just stopped in for a meal. Oh well, maybe next spring they will come back and decide to stay. I really love watching the bird life around here. My youngest sister has been visiting and she really knows her birds and has pointed out quite a few I hadn't noticed before as well as the night bird life, she can identify the various owls and other night birds around. It's so interesting. |
