What does everyone use for deworming?

I have never had to use one, but this looked like a good article.

I do know that when we bring a cat into our rescue that we use Capstar to rid them of fleas and ticks.

I've had 4 ragdolls and the boy ahead of them and have never had to use worm medication.  Since they never go outside, they've never needed anything for fleas of ticks.  I don't remember if the breeder wormed them before I go them or not.

I use profender its one you put on back of neck. Before that used milbemax but I was always finding the pills spat out. My boys have a outdoor enclosure so also get frontline plus put on about every 8 weeks to prevent fleas.

I use Revolution which is applied once a month on the back of the neck. It has a single ingredient (selamectin) which is effective against: Hookworm, Roundworm, Adult Fleas, Flea Eggs, Flea Larvae, Heartworm, Ear Mites and Lice.

Fluffy's breeder started him on Revolution when he was a kitten and I kept it up. The kitten formula doses up to 2.5kg. The adult formula doses 2.6kg - 7.5kg. Fluffy has never had any adverse reaction to Revolution, but I have read about some cats who have had adverse reactions to it.

Fluffy does have access to an outdoor enclosure which is another reason why I use Revolution.

My breeder does do deworming and I have used Revolution Plus on my Ragamuffin but not every month. She is indoor but we do have a screened in porch. She has never had fleas but I read online and another breeder told me you can carry the worms in on your shoes so you do need to worm.

The internet says even inside cats need deworming but I have not been doing it very often with my Ragamuffin. I get my new kitten in a week or two, she was just spayed yesterday. Was just concerned about the worms.

I will be taking the new kitten in to the vet for a wellness checkup so I will ask him.

My vet recommends treatment annually with Revolution even for indoor cats so that's what I've done. No adverse reactions here.
