Christmas Trees - MissViv - 11-27-2020 We have not had a tree in 2 years because Phoebe, our Ragamuffin, chews on the branches. She actually swallows pieces. We heard, on Facebook, that you could put orange peels under the tree and the cats will not come near the tree. Going to try that! Anyone else have any ideas? I would love to get some pics under the tree this year with Phoebe & Jewels. RE: Christmas Trees - JanH - 11-27-2020 You might also try bitter spray on the lower branches, which might be more successful. https://www.chewy.com/s?query=bitter+spray&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI48f94qej7QIVWwiICR1mig3HEAAYASAAEgIM0fD_BwE RE: Christmas Trees - MUM_of_FLUFFY - 11-27-2020 I would love to see some Christmas pics of Phoebe and Jewels I haven't dared put a tree up with Fluffy inside - I'm sure he would think it was especially for him!!! However - I do have a potted Ficus outside that I put fairy lights on... This might work also. https://www.chewy.com/four-paws-keep-off-repellent-cat/dp/52143 RE: Christmas Trees - MissViv - 11-28-2020 We have decided to NOT put up a Christmas Tree. We got the smaller tree out and started putting it up and Jewels immediately started chewing on the limbs. The orange peel does not work at all. We do have a small tree that hangs on the wall so we might try that. I love Christmas and before cats, I would put up three trees. |
