Kitten Testicles - chris436 - 12-16-2020 My 10 moth old kitten does not seem to have very big testicles. The vet said to wait another 2 months to see if they grow bigger he did not view them however. Are ragdoll cats usually smallish in size when compared to their body size? I have only ever seen domestic cat ones. Early spay/neuter in kittens I don't know the answer to your question because Fluffy is my first Ragdoll. Maybe they are harder to see with all the fluff? If I were in your position I would seek a second opinion from a vet skilled in early spay/neutering. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! RE: Kitten Testicles - JanH - 12-27-2020 Welcome. Some vets are reluctant to do early spay neuter, even though Ragdolls tend to be bigger than other cats. If you have high confidence in this vet in doing surgery, then wait for now. The risk is becoming sexually mature, spraying urine and not stopping after the surgery. You have to decide if you want to wait for this surgeon and better pandemic or look for an experienced surgeon in early neuter. (Ten months is really NOT early speuter, which is done at about ten WEEKS.) If he has an undescended testicle, then waiting is a good idea, because it will need to be found, if it is there, surgically, which makes it like the more complicated spay surgery. |
