Please send some good vibes on Friday to... - Smudge's Mom - 11-03-2021
...my Red-Headed Boy. Paddy will be undergoing surgery for the removal of a lipoma. It is between his neck and shoulder and has been gradually increasing in size over the past few years. It is now to the point that Dr. Brown is concerned that it is large enough that it could actually rub his skin open from the inside...sort of an inside out ulceration
It is considered a minor surgery, but my boy is over 13 years old so, of course, I worry.

Oh Gina - of course you're worried about Paddy - any surgery on the fur-babies (even if it is what they call 'minor') is very worrying. I've been thinking of you and Stan and Paddy since the sad news about Princess Pooka and wondering how you're all doing. Praying that Paddy sails through the surgery without any issues and sending good vibes your way...

Yes - and expect to be awakened by visits asking about the empty dish problem. I expect all to go well after many surgeries at that age, but looking for the report

Praying for Paddy that all goes well. I played with both boys at 11.30pm to tire them out and fed at 11.45 night before their surgeries and they slept all night.

Bless Dr. Brown. He had me give Paddy a gabapentin at 10 p.m. last night. He slept through until 6:30 this morning and never even noticed the food was removed. He gets another 1/2 dose now and then we leave for the office in about 30-40 minutes. I don't know where Paddy is on the surgery list, but I will update you as soon as I have heard anything, probably mid to late afternoon.
We thank everyone for their good wishes and support. I have said this before, but it bears repeating...It is so wonderful to have people in your life that understand.
