Looks like the new food is no good for Zimba.
Poor baby has had bad diarrhea been checked out turns out purina pro plan is full of fish and Zimba has never been able to handle too much fish shame cause he likes it so now need to find something else they can both have as they forever steal off each other and I can no longer stand there waiting for them to finish...Shadow is so slow and Zimba is a guts. I have to feed on the table as I can no longer get to the floor.. I still have some packets of Royal Canin left over and took him into the enclosure and tried to feed him out there on it but he refused. Just sniffed and walked away. Have tried quite a few times over the last 5 weeks as wanted to use it up.

Oh that is so frustrating and sad when they can't tolerate a food they like. Hope you find a substitute soon.

Oh no! Poor Zimba - diarrhea is just awful...
I remember going through it with Fluffy when he transitioned from kitten food to adult food.

We had an awful time finding something Jaxon could tolerate. I think we tried about everything on the market, it took months. We finally found he can eat Tiki Cat dry and the Tiki Cat After Dark (but only the After Dark line) wet food. He has the most sensitive stomach of any cat who has owned me. I hope you are able to find something that works for everyone.

Zimba was really hungry this morning so condescended to eat the royal canin maine coon wet food I still have. I'm still trying to sort out whether it was the pro plan wet or dry that was causing the issue as its been 5 weeks and he's been okay apart from odd loose stool after the derma sachets which have high fish content but hubby reminded me we got a new bag of hairball dry formula on Friday afternoon and this explosion happened early sunday moning.. I will take back the hair ball formula as when I look at the ingredients on that it's very high in fish and fibre so might try a little bit of wet chicken again avoiding the derma and see how he goes even if I mix with the royal canin maine coon first thing when he's really hungry. He still has the royal canin dental biscuits in his maze feeder that Shadow can't figure out lol to graze on.. I'm also going to cook up some chicken mince for him and will mix with wet to bulk up a bit. Unfortunately not much selection here.

Zimba kept refusing the royal canin and kept trying to steal his brothers food he knows what he likes so I cooked up chicken mince and mixed with the purina chicken and rice sachets to give to the boys both really love it and Zimba is good on it. Had it for 4 days now. So looks like can stick to the chicken and rice wet for Zimba as long as I bulk it up so he's not getting so much of it as he really loves it and just give him the hills and royal canin dental dry in his maze for his teeth. Doesn't take much to cook the chicken mince I put 200 grams in the microwave with water cook for 2 minutes and its done I keep in the fridge and it last 3 days. Such a relief I have two happy boys at feeding time and two happy tummies.
