Suggestions Needed - Smudge's Mom - 09-10-2023

Paddy's fur is starting to show its age (he is 15 1/2).  The texture has gotten quite rough (still tons of it).  I was wondering if any of you have used a supplement that has soften the fur and/or added a bit of oil to it.  He was just to the vet for a 6 month wellness check and all is good.  I would ask there, but they never suggest anything that is less than $50 (of course they carry it).  I am sure there are some good products on the market that are less costly.  Thanks for the help.

I use fish oil for the boys here but its a nz made one.   Not sure where you are but found a link to this one which is very similar. https://seapet.com/product/omega-pure-fish-oil-for-cats/

Thanks, Helen. I don't know if that specific product is available here, but I copied the ingredients and will go to the pet store this week. The price is right...a lot better than what the vet is asking.

To get fur back in order we give Pet Phos Felin Pelage
I am not sure, whether that is an EU product only or not, but maybe you can ask in the local pet pharmacy for alternatives, if they shouldn't have it.
They are supplemental vitamins, especially for fur and skin.

I bought  Stratford Omega -V3 Liquid.. It is for skin and fur health.  It is a liquid that can be mixed into food or put into a syringe and shot down the mouth.  Paddy actually likes
it when I do that to him...He is a very weird
cat.  Of course he knows that he gets a Temptations Treat when he takes his meds like that.
