????? - Smudge's Mom - 10-11-2024

Hey, I've been in the hospital for seven weeks.  Where have you been???? Huh

RE: ????? - MUM_of_FLUFFY - 10-11-2024

I hope you're feeling better now? It must be good to be home.

I'm around sometimes, but after living here for two years I'm moving to a unit for seniors that has accessible safety features such as grab rails in the bathroom and ramp access, rather than steps. I'm telling Fluffy we're going on a big adventure, but I don't think he quite believes me. Dodgy

I'm looking forward to putting him in his pram and wheeling him down the ramp for walks. And - even though he will initially be unsettled, I think ultimately it will be exciting for him to explore his new environment. Let's face it, the unit and the ramp are all for him, I'm just the caretaker and cat mama.  Big Grin

Oh no what a long time hope and pray you are feeling better and a big Welcome Home Smudge's mom.  I can imagine how happy you are to be home. We have very much missed you.
Not much going on here we  have been  hunkered down hiding from the horrible cold wet stormy winter weather.. When the occasional sunny day arrives we are out walking in the village. Daisy is slowly adapting to the pram but very hard when there can be a couple weeks gap in between walks. I have managed a couple with them together in the pram which always goes better..

But Zimba isn't so keen at the moment for walks or when does ask its when its raining or dark out.  He is very much sleeping away  winter this year hopefully once the fine weather arrives he will perk up..  We had a few fine days last week  but then he didn't want to be outside in the enclosure due to the noise of the diggers and trucks behind us..  Hopefully spring will arrive soon and bring some much needed sunshine and longer evenings so he can go out then..

Hope the new move goes well Pam and Fluffy enjoys exploring his new pad .

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to thank you for your well wishes. It is a long slow recovery with physical therapy and a radiation treatment every weekday.
Fluffy's Mum, your new home sounds wonderful. I hope both of you enjoy it tremendously.
Helen, I hope your weather is improving. Ours is starting to chill up, but so far it has stayed sunny most days and that makes it tolerable. I hope this means we will have a mild winter.
I really miss the active board and I hope more members will begin to post again.

Nice to hear from you Smudges Mom still praying for you that your health improves daily. Sending big hugs.

We are still in our old place, the new premises are brand new, recently built and still have to go through council to have the residential and postal addresses assigned. My unit is lovely and I've been inside it since it's been finished. Fluffy is UPSET that most of our things are in boxes, however I have managed to distract him by the purchase of an electronic ball that gets recharged and rolls around the floor in random directions. We kept losing the ball, so I bought 11 more. Now we have 12, although I can only ever seem to find 5 of them at any given time. I use what I call a picker-upperer (a long handled tool) to pick stuff up with to get the the balls up off the floor. Then the fun starts again.

Good luck with your radiation treatment Gina - thinking of you and sending love and healing energy. So glad you are back with us.

Lots of Love Pam & Fluffy
