Yes we've tried to work on his figure but as you can see he tends toward the rotund. He's a miserable cat, not to mention something of a terrorist, when he can see the bottom of his bowl. My most recent effort was rather quickly thwarted. I bought one of those towers that you place the food on top of and the cat is supposed to work to get the pieces to fall down the levels to the bottom and then eat them. He looked at it for a few seconds and then shoved the whole tower over on it's side so that all of the food spilled on the floor where he promptly ate it all at once... he's a pretty smart fellow

Believe it or not it becomes even more serious when he can see the bottom of his food dish.
