The genetic charts at rfci.org should help you identify the possibilities.
For color, look to the darkest areas (and compare within the litter) - ears and noses
(for non-bicolors).
For lynx, to avoid confusion by ghost banding, look for white eye and ear liner.
Patterns can be Mitted and Colorpoint.
Give time for development. Early decisions are harder. For prospective pet owners, tell them your current opinion, but remind them that can change. One of the fun parts of pointed cats is changes as they mature. If someone wants to be sure, then dna color testing can be done.
