To my dear friends on here thank you for your messages of concern yes me and the boys are safe. Luckily we don't live in the coastal town anymore we now live inland so well away from the coast. Alot of New Zealand has had to evacuate to higher ground. Please pray rest of country is okay especially when high tide hits. The estuary's are filling up and the ocean is not happy. -

There's now a Tsunami warning for Australia following the earthquake in NZ
But we should be fine because we don't live on the coast... -

Glad to read of your safety and hope those on the coast reach safety also. I saw the downgrade of the tsunami, but know it still must be very dangerous. -

Thanks everyone yes been downgraded everyone can return home on the coast but must remain vigilant and take extra precautions with regards to beach and ocean activites as strong and unusual currents and unpredictable surges will continue for up to another 24 hours.. They also say after shocks can continue for another week or so. -
