  Spring ran away.  Woke up to -2 this morning. The high for today is 8.  Yesterday was 20.   What a shock to the system.  Its cold as icy polar blast  hit New Zealand overnight. Will be here for a few days. Yuk.. Temps dropped between 15-20c in a matter of hours.  Even snowing in Wellington today.  Snow in Christchurch in October for first time in 53 years. Children happy as its school holidays so making the most of it  building snowmen.  Zimba is tucked up in bed and Shadow in the cat box.  I braved the elements to go feed my birds. Hope the tui's are okay they are all nesting babies due any day.   Feel sorry for all the new lambs  that have been born October is lambing season be a bit of a shock to them.

  Similar thing here - unprecedented rain and flooding...
  
  I took my sandals off walking home from the shops yesterday because it was so slippery. Thankfully I booked medical transport for my appointment tomorrow...

  Yes I read about the bad rains in Aussie. Praying you and fluffy stay safe and everyone else over there. Weather patterns sure have turned crazy. Seems to be more and more bad weather everywhere.

  We've gone from the worst bush fires on record in 2020 to the wettest year on record in 2022 and it's only October. During the bushfires dam levels were down to 40% now it's at 100% capacity and they had to release water earlier this week. They're also talking about raising the walls of the dam to address the flooding.
  
  I've been very fortunate not to be badly impacted by the fires or the floods, but it sure is crazy weather and I'm wondering what's ahead... I was shocked when I heard the UK had reached 40.3°C (104.5°F) earlier this year.

  Agree its crazy weather.. Well another -2 this morning but what a gorgeous bright sunny day yippee way better than yesterday sun always makes it better.. Its now 10 outside no wind and its only 11.39am so hopefully will still warm up some more.
