We are in the middle of the 3rd wave of covid here in New Zealand so our family christmas has just been cancelled yet again..
Was going to be the first time in 3 years the whole family was to be together for christmas but no stupid covid has put a stop to that yet again.
Unfortunately covid's here in the village too so cafe is closed and everyone just stays in there own unit no gatherings allowed.
As for the weather it sucks too. Nothing but wind and rain electrical storms this month its horrible even the boys won't use the enclosure just too windy for them. We even ended up getting out our winter clothes again last week was so cold and wet yuk. So much for spring. Unfortunately rest of this week and next week looks just as bad. Right now feel like pulling my christmas lights down and putting them away as there isn't enough sun or light to power the solar lights just dark dingy rainy days..
On a happier note Shadow is doing great gaining his weight back and the boys are back playing together chasing each other round which is awesome

So sorry to hear Covid has stolen Christmas from your family again...
But absolutely thrilled that Shadow is better and the boys are chasing each other around again...

How sad. That happened to us the past two Hanukkahs. We have our paws crossed that we get together for this one.
Was it supposed to be at your house and does the family live relatively close by?? What I did last year was make a variety of breakfast/brunch stratas, drove here and there to drop them off and then we had a Zoom call get together. The driving was a bit of work, but I didn't have to clean the house or drag out the "good" China, so I think I broke even.
I hope your weather and covid conditions ease up soon.

Yes was going to be here as I can't travel. Unfortunately they all live in another town 2 hours away and my brother now lives in Australia him and my sister in law were were there staying with my niece when the first covid struck and the borders closed. My sister in law has dual citizenship so they decided to make a life for themselves over there and stayed even when the borders finally opened.. -

I’m so sorry for you and your family. Maybe in a few weeks when things (hopefully) improve you could have a family dinner and celebrate a little late.
