  The safest internal cooking temp is 160 degrees. However, even lower temperatures are safer than raw.
  
  I think you are wise to look for wet foods that are affordable.
  
  Consider a wet/dry vacuum to make cleanup easier until you find a better solution.

  Are they suggesting the raw diet because the price is more reasonable than canned food or because you doctor is a believer in raw diets? If it is because it is cost effective, there is no reason that you can't cook it up in the bone broth and refreeze in meal size portions the way you would with a pot of soup or stew that you made for your dinner.

  Smudge's Mom  it was something different to try to see if it satisfies him as wet only he is constantly hungry he thought getting away from processed food might help and yes it is alot more cost effective.  Also he said if give wet only we are going to run into more teeth issues.  I noticed we have freeze dried food here now is that better?

  Freezing has been tried, but has been found to kill some microbes, but not all. So, I suppose it is somewhat better, but not as safe as cooked.

  Thanks JanH. I bought some grain free kibble but that came back undigested too mind you kibble was so tiny he couldn't bite it just licked it up. . Really beginning to think he just doesn't tolerate kibble of any sort. Have stopped all kibble to see how he goes. I'm cooking up human grade chicken mince and adding it to his wet food to fill him up more. Interestingly he is alot more active since stopping the kibble and playing with Zimba which he hasn't done for a long time. Just need to figure out what I can give him to help with his teeth and as some sort of treat as now I can't throw kibble to him like I used to him as a game... I'm having to feed Zimba in another room as he still needs to have the dental kibble.

  Cats can lose all of their teeth and manage fine. Not to say it is not to be avoided, but just to set priorities.
  
  If things like homemade chicken gets to a meaningful percentage of the diet, then consider a supplement to make sure there is enough of things like taurine. They are made mostly for raw diets, but a careful choice would make it work with cooked meals, particularly if you do not have to cook the supplement.
  
  It may be that there are binding or other ingredients in kibble to which his system rejects. Consider that there may be prescription diets (more expensive though) that do not, since ingredient content is much more carefully controlled.
  
  Glad his behavior has improved. That is always a good sign.

  After doing some research decided to try the iams oral kibble as it doesn't have alot of the fillers in it that the other kibble does. Shadow has been having a handful of kibble every day and is tolerating them very well. We've had no vomiting which is great for him. Thing I like is he is actually chewing them which he never did with the others. So fingers crossed. He is definitely feeling better in himself, alot more active playing with Zimba which is lovely to watch. Feel bad I didn't realize he wasn't feeling himself. Mind you with having two surgeries in 2 months I've not exactly been myself either.

  Sounds like you boy is on the mend. I so hope that you are feeling better, also.
