Great news. I am so glad that more and more vaccine is available. I think that in the US, boosters (3rd shot of Pfizer), will be available on Sept. 21 for seniors and hospital workers. Stan and I will be eligible on Oct. 6, (eight months after second shot). We are not hospital workers...we are seniors....oh boy, are we ever seniors, aaaaaarrrrrgh!

Stan got his booster on Thursday and I will get mine tomorrow. He had no reaction at all. -

I got my 3rd shot yesterday and have had no pain at all. The nurse practitioner who gave me the injection asked how I had been after the first two. I told her I was fine except for feeling like I had been punched. She told me that very often that is caused less by the vaccine than by the vaccination. She said to let my arm go completely limp and to relax.
She explained that when you tense the bicep and tricep, the needle has to force its way into a hard muscle and that actually causes a little bruise at (and in) the injection site. This time, because I didn't fight it, the very fine, sharp needle slid right in and I didn't feel a thing. This morning, the only way I know where I had the vaccination is because I forgot to remove the Band-aid last night. -

I've had my 2nd Pfizer shot and I think I might be notified to go for the 3rd booster shot in the new year, will wait and see what happens. So far I've been fine after having them as well.
