Here it usually involves duvet and/or sheets covering cats when I'm trying to make, or worse; actually change, the bed. It can take hours... -

Hahaha, well sneaking around doesn't work either so I gave up long ago. Besides who doesn't enjoy a few hours playing with big cats on the bed and under the covers "hiding". It's literally their favorite game...
This is Tiki's second favorite game when he knows that I want to brush his teeth. He is an expert genius at "hiding"...

Yes it stays stock still when I'm quiet but he can't help but wag it when he hears his name. He's such a puppy cat! -

Thanks for noticing! I've become a pretty proficient groomer, mostly out of necessity for my Maine Coon who suffers from bad hairballs. He also grooms Tiki so I comb them both daily and give them a bit of a wipe with a wet paper towel first. It's quite arid here and they always have a touch of static which will keep some loose hair stuck in the coat. They don't even seem to mind a bit of dampness and it seems to keep both pretty shiny. I bathe Eli more often than Tiki, every few months because it cuts way down on his dander for me and my slight allergy. Tiki is uncommonly strong and really REALLY doesn't care for immersion so he's more of an emergency cat bath only kind of guy... -

Fluff let me bathe his backside in the sink when he had diarrhea as a kitten. But before he was one year old he decided immersion in water was completely unacceptable and made a blood curdling noise the last time I attempted it. I escaped with a scratch on my neck. So now I use a wet flannel for any clean ups. Funnily enough I'm also allergic but I don't talk about it much because non-cat people expect me to get rid of my cat. I told my doctor:
That is never going to happen...

That made me smile. When I was diagnosed as a child I recall thinking that I better find a way to cope because I was pretty sure that my mother's cats wouldn't be the ones re-homed... just kidding, (mostly), they were my cats too and I loved them. I also use a neti-pot regularly and it's solved my problems for the most part.
