Oh boy what a long week its been and such a long day today. Vet rang last night with the report from the specalist of the xray scans bloods ect. Specialist that reviewed everything said he had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia so born with it, thickining of the stomach spleen liver and colon and were pretty sure it was cancer said it really didn't look good. We discussed the results and I said I wanted 100% certainty no way I'm putting him to sleep without certainty.. So we picked him up and brought him home for the night in case it was going to be goodbye. We took him back this morning to be put under anesthetic to put a camera down to have a look. Vet rang at 12.30 to say they couldn't get a good enough look and no way with hand on heart could he say it was cancer as it didn't look right for cancer but also there was a massive furball blocking where they needed to see so suggested opening him up have a look as need to get furball out anyway and if was evidence of cancer then they would ring me. Well finally got call 5.00pm tonight to say no cancer two massive hairballs one had got caught between diagraphm and stomach so blocking things. He did have bit of fatty liver but that's from not eating and the thickening was inflamation nothing sinistar.. Yes definately has the hernia but doesn't need surgery for it. Liver spleen everything else looked good. So barring any complications my miracle boy will come home Monday. Going to be a long weekend as they don't do phone updates on weekends and of course not allowed to visit so can't wait till Monday when we can bring him home. Mum is doing well too and will be coming home Monday as well. Monday can't come soon enough.
