So very sorry to hear that the Variant has hit many of you so hard. I have been fortunate with the cat food situation. If there appears to be a shortage, Chewy has been giving me a heads-up far enough in advance of my delivery date to allow me to search stuff out at the various local pet supply stores. I am also lucky in that my guys can eat anything as long as it is grain free. So an abrupt switch of brands does not seem to bother them.
It is good to learn that your Mom is in your bubble, Helen.

Quite fortunate no shortage of cat food yet but I really don't like having to order from my usual suppliers as they are in Auckland where the largest delta outbreak is.. Very seriously thinking of ordering from one of the other towns that don't have the outbreak just means I will have to pay quite a bit more but feel safer doing that. I'm ok for next two weeks so will see how things go but not looking good at this stage.. All my appts for this week were cancelled and now all my appointments for next week have been cancelled and probably the following week also even though our town doesn't have it but we are still in level 4 lockdown.. Going to run out of yarn soon and I can't order more as not an essential item. Not allowed to send the completed ones out either at the moment. I crochet the blankets for children that go into foster care. They each get given their own personal blanket and a soft toy. -

I've been waiting on a cat food delivery for over a week - hoping it will arrive next week! I still have a fair amount of Royal Canin in the pantry so we haven't run out yet... I briefly contemplated getting a supermarket brand of cat food delivered with my usual groceries - but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I may have do it next time just to have an emergency back-up...

It makes a lot of sense to order from a town that doesn't have an outbreak (even if you have to pay more).
