  About 8 weeks ago my neighbour kindly gave me 3 pink geranium cuttings - which looked like this...
  
  
  
  I didn't expect any flowers this season - but I have been blessed with a tiny bud just opening up...
  and another bud which is still closed...not a great photo but you can see the growth...

  there's really no glory in growing geraniums - they're a beginners plant - but I love a water-wise garden - especially in the Australian heat and particularly after the bushfires of 2020...
  
  sooky la-la plants have no place in my yard anymore...

  Ha! Easy for you to say.  I have been known to kill silk flowers.
  
  It is beautiful.  Can't wait to see it in full bloom.

  I've cut back the plumbago hedge since this photo and under-planted it with some more pink geranium cuttings...
  
  So next year it should look lovely with the pink clusters of flowers next to the mauve/blue clusters of the plumbago.
  
  I also have some white daisies there but you can't see them clearly.

  Seeing your geranium cuttings inspired me. We have some lovely geraniums growing in the garden, pink and red flowers but unfortunately you can’t see them unless you go walking around the garden (our yard is huge). Anyway, I decided to fetch some cuttings and hopefully they’ll take so I can plant them into pots on the veranda where we’ll be able to enjoy seeing their beauty.

  Since we recently had snow and ice conditions, it's a bit too early to plant outside.  I keep buying seeds for the garden and then remembering I have a problem getting up from the ground and am likely to take a header if I'm not careful.  Oh, I can't wait for spring.

  There's something about nurturing a cutting into a plant that is so satisfying...   I would love to see them!!!

  I know what you mean!!! There are so many tasks I just can't do anymore...no more getting up on ladders...can't dig a proper hole for a proper plant anymore...and I would need assistance getting up from the ground...(except I live on my own)
  
  I made a tool out of a broom-stick and a fork so I wouldn't have to bend over to weed anymore...
  
  It's crude - but it works a treat...

  I live on my own too.  My endocrinologist told me I should never go outside without my phone.  My response was "Who am I going to call".  He said 911.  Tell them you've fallen and need some assistance getting up.  I'd die of embarassment - LOL.   I got a new tool that should be good at weeding.  I just have to figure out how to use it.  Also have a telescoping hoe/claw thingy and one of those things you use to push youself up from a kneeling position.  Think I ever remember to take them outside?  I have enough to do trying to get myself motivated to shift rooms for painting.  We had a wonderful German lady in the credit union who used to say "Getting old is not for sissies".  I think there's something to that.
  
  I have a ton of seeds - just have to get them planted.  Bought them last year and never used them and bought other things this year.  Can somebody get me motivated???

  I had a walking stick for 2 years (which I used at home) but absolutely refused to use out in public. Then I had a fall in the rain and couldn't get up on my own. I had to accept the help of a man passing by to get up...and I was absolutely mortified...
  
  These days I take my walking stick out every single time...
