Please pray for Shadow don't know whats wrong he's vomiting bile doesn't want to eat but also won't climb up onto the cat towers just lies on the floor he's quite miserable couldn't get an appointment at the vet so they said to drop him in early this morning so I put my sweatshirt I've worn last 2 days into the carrier for him to lie on to hopefully give him some comfort as he gets so stressed at the vet. They put his carrier with him in it into a larger cage and left the carrier door open so he can choose whether to remain in it or get out into the big cage. The vet rang and said they need to sedate him so xray his tummy and draw bloods ect as he's very unwell..

Just heard back breaking my heart here. Please pray with all you have. There is a Shadow on his diaphragm could be a hernia he was born with or the c word. Did ultra sound on kidneys which showed a white snow so took a urine sample check for crystals ect it did show a glucose of 15 which could be stress induced an infection or diabetes so now sending off for a fructosamine test shows glucose over last 3 months. So bloods xrays and urine all been sent off site to lab and internest specialists for more extensive testing and review. For now on fluids had antibiotic injection and another injection for the nausea so resting comfortably on my sweatshirt.

Bless you for putting your sweatshirt in his carrier - I'm sure it's bringing your beautiful boy the comfort he needs during this very difficult time for both of you...

Many good thoughts being sent to Shadow and you. I am glad to hear that he is resting and is on meds. What a good idea using your sweatshirt as a comfort blanket.

Oh Helen, I'm so sorry to read how ill your beautiful, sweet boy is. My thoughts are with you and I know how anxious you must be feeling right now, praying for you both.

Thanks everyone sorry for late response the fructosamine test came back clear for diabetes thank goodness unfortunately still no result on the shadow on xray still waiting on a specialist to reveiw it and still awaiting liver kidney and urine results and some other blood test so my poor boy is still at vet hospital hasn't eaten since Sunday now Tuesday evening here refuses even so had to wrap him and syringe feed him a appetite stimulator to see if they can get him to eat. He just wants to sleep. Beaking my heart he probably thinks I've abandoned him as not allowed to visit due to covid restrictions and to top it off mum is in hospital had surgery today and now been transferred to icu and I'm not allowed to visit due to covid restrictions either. I Can't stop crying scared for both Shadow and mum. Going to be another long night couldn't sleep last night either. Poor Zimba is moping around crying too.
