Just when I thought the garden is a safe place to relax in and take Bailey out for excercise, the local news released a warning today that there is an increase of puff adders in the area (seemingly it's countrywide according to my sister) and some people and dogs have had to be hospitalised due to being bitten, if you don't get hospitalised quickly a bite can be fatal.
Seemingly it's the mating season for them and they are all over the place. I really don't like ANYTHING that creeps about, they terrify me, be it spiders, scorpions and especially SNAKES!!!

Oh my goodness how scary! I hate snakes, there is just something so wrong about a creature moving that fast with no legs. -

I love most animals - but snakes are HORRIBLE creatures!!!

I don't mind snakes (at least the non-poisonous ones). We occasionally have little garter snakes, black rat snakes and brown snakes in our garden and woods behind my condo. I ignore them and let them go about their business of keeping the mole and vole population under control. I would not be this casual about the subject if it were Eastern Rattle Snakes.
