Without fail every single time I pull the box out of the bench and start to clean it he immediately comes flying in and launches himself into it then starts to pee. I started waiting to clean it until about 5-10 minutes after he used it to prevent him from using it while I was trying to clean it. He will still jump in and try his very best to pee. I now wait until he is distracted playing with a spring (apparently the greatest cat toy ever) and sneak into the room with his box. I keep the door closed until I finish. When I come back out he will be waiting outside the door looking very unhappy with me.   Some flowers in the garden... She sort of slip-slides her way there, but she is quick. She wouldn't believe me that I had turned off the flash so I couldn't get a good head on shot, but I will try again later.   Litter questions Posted by: NatsFan78 - 01-02-2020, 09:23 AM - Forum: Ragdoll Cat Discussion - Replies (28) Good morning, looking for advice again. The breeder used World’s Best Cat Litter so I continued that when Jaxon came home. I hate it! It does nothing for the smell and leaves powder on his paws which he gets literally everywhere. I am looking for something that will help with the smell and that Jaxon will not track across the house.  Also wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for keeping him from stepping in his poop and pee. He gets so aggressive trying to cover it he usually ends up stepping in it somehow. After he goes, he turns around and smells it (both pee & poop) then turns back around to cover it. He repeats this process several times and by the time he comes out he usually has either poop or urine soaked litter stuck on his paws. His fur is so long and fine literally knots overnight even though I brush them both daily.   Afterwards I collected 90 Grams fur this is both boys fur on the cat scales.. . This is the story of how I got a male lilac point called Fluffy. I bought him in the middle of the night from a photo the breeder sent me. Tears were streaming down my face because I was grieving my Jack Russell. I had researched the breeder a fair bit during the 2 previous years and really liked her blue colour pointed ragdolls. But I fell in love with the photo she sent me, and I had always had an interest in the lilac colouring...  Baby Fluffy  I asked why a lilac colourpoint was readily available and she said she had kept him back to appear in a children's TV show. I wrote about the first year of his life here: https://www.floppycats.com/fluffy-ragdol...-week.html I like to think I've learned a lot more in Fluffy's second year of life and we honestly are perfectly suited for each other. He's very affectionate in his own way, loves head bunting and purring on my lap (but always on his terms!) He doesn't love being picked up and he very rarely goes "floppy". But hey, neither do I!!! So we understand each other perfectly...and I adore him exactly for who he is He dislikes strangers and loves my mum, but it took a year before he permitted her to pat him. He hated me trying to pick him up and carry him around when he was little. So I stopped and played what I call the super-glue game. No matter how charming and cute he's being - I keep my hands "super-glued" palms down and refuse to pat him. He loves this game and it really built trust between us. I played it all day with him yesterday and he loved it!!! I don't know if it's just his particular personality and I'm unsure if it was genetic (was he was simply born with that personality?) He was raised well, underfoot at home, with older children and dogs. I suspect in a hypothetical litter of 5 kittens he would be the one right at the back of the pack (the watch and wait personality).
