Unfortunately I've really been suffering with pain since having to scoop the open litter box plus I have more surgery coming up on elbow and wrist so I'm going to be a mean mumma and try and retrain them to use the robot as have noticed if someone uses the open box and I havn't scooped before the other needs it they will use the robot I have heard it running in the early hours so its just sheer lazyness me thinks. Have even made a platform step to make it easier for them to get in the robot. I have now changed the open box to crystals as my boys arn't that keen on crystals but it means I still have 3 boxes available 2 with crystals and the clumping in the robot. Fingers crossed see how we go. Prayers please as my wrists shoulder and elbow is in so much pain.

Been a very long day but finally home both boys had dinner and now curled up asleep. It seems the extra drinking is due to the new dental biscuits Shadow was put on for his teeth which he really likes. Zimba likes them too and I notice he always drinks after eating them but at the moment he only gets them as treats as he is finishing off the dental ones Shadow can't eat. . So more drink more pee which makes sense.. Kidneys are fine bloods all good and everything checks out. Such a relief both boys fit and well and Shadow once again weighs more than Zimba. Vaccinations done for another year. Unfortunately it seems when Shadow had the surgery and was using a open litter box at the vet for the week he was there he has decided he prefers it to the litter robot and was letting me know hence the odd accident. Unfortunately I put a open box in the bathroom to monitor the pees and because got sick of the accidents so now Zimba has decided he also prefers the open box so I either don't scoop to see if they go back to the robot or I keep scooping and get rid of robot. Not sure what to do as very hard on my back scooping but also got more hand surgery coming up but I don't want unhappy boys as they are starting to get on in years.

can't get into our vet till next week as he is away for school holidays and I refuse to see the locum but appointment is already booked for Wednesday and meanwhile I am watching him like a hawk. He is now drinking heaps and peeing big size boulders compared to Zimba and always hungry eating heaps way more than what used to eat and has also doing the odd poo outside the box so have added a extra litter box as he also now refuses to use the robot which was working until last night as I was using the bathroom so he couldn't get in and needed to go I heard him crying outside the door so left me a parcel by the front door. 
He still had access to the one in the enclosure so not sure why didn't use that. Its not runny just normal so not sure what's going on.. While my nurse was here yesterday we checked him for diabetes she has a diabetic dog so knows where to do the prick on the ear so we used my kit as its same as what they use on animals here. It was normal so not diabetes and last blood test no diabetes either in fact all the blood tests were fine but know can change in six months... He seems happy in himself still plays but does sleep more and I can just tell somethings not right as his coat looks unkempt too so lots of brushing being given and knots taken out.. Anyone know what else I should be doing? Is it okay to wait another week before we see vet.. He hasn't lost weight but still hasn't regained all the weight he lost when had his surgery has only put half back on. Please keep my baby in your prayers.
They reckon its going to be the coldest winter.
