Boys were innocent Posted by: HelenMac - 01-03-2023, 02:50 PM - Forum: General Chat - Replies (3) Got woken up by the bed rocking and rolling immediate thought was boys playing on bed but no cat in sight and it kept going .  Grabbed phone checked geonet sure enough 5.1 earthquake at 5.39am.  As for the boys they were out in the enclosure. I am sorry for all your losses There were many changes over the last 3 years which Freyr took in stride. Added two pups and short move for 1 year. However last spring he had many teeth removed and seem to do well, then we move across country, from Alberta to Nova Scotia, again he did okay, not a happy 4 days for him though in the car. He ended up with a bad eye infection and the vet service here sucks, no vet within couple of hours drive take emergencies or new patients and those that are weeks waiting and no waiting list.  By the time he got treatment, he was on steroids longer than he should have been.. His blood work was good in spring, but the last month he was eating everything in sight and drinking continuously he was losing weight. Again same issue with vet care. Then he stopped eating.  He passed Christmas morning. I am heart broken. Happy Holidays To... As for the weather it sucks too.  Nothing but wind and rain electrical storms this month its horrible  even the boys won't use the enclosure just too windy for them. We even ended up getting out our winter clothes again last week was so cold and wet yuk. So much for spring.   Unfortunately rest of this week and next week looks just as bad.   Right now feel like pulling my christmas lights down and putting them away as there isn't enough sun or light to power the solar lights just dark dingy rainy days..  On a happier note Shadow is doing great gaining his weight back and the boys are back playing together chasing each other round which is awesome Happy 5th Birthday FLUFFY!!! It seems like just yesterday this little ball of fluff came into my home and into my heart. There are simply no words to describe the love I have for him that grows stronger and stronger every day. He transformed my life in ways I never imagined and has completely stolen my heart. Shadow has put on 300 grams still a long way to go to gain the 1.4kg he lost but a great start.  Zimba's coat has become very thick and fluffy and is no longer oily. Best coat he has ever had.  Both are enjoying a mixture of wet Proplan and hills    and dry proplan oral and adult   and hills dental.    Both are playing together and chasing each other round again.  Shadow's coat is also thickening up and he no longer has dandruff and is back to wanting to drape himself over me for snoozing and cuddles.  One very happy mum with two very settled happy playful boys again.    Have bought them both a new favourite toy each for christmas should be here any day a new replacement dabird mouse for Zimba his favourite toy  as he has completely killed his other one and a new replacement dabird feather wand for Shadow  his favourite toy as he's also completely killed his one.   New Cat grass today Posted by: HelenMac - 11-05-2022, 01:04 AM - Forum: Ragdoll Cat Gallery - Replies (5) Today the boys got new cat grass tried to video them so you could see them.   Moving a long distance with cats Posted by: Codysmom - 11-02-2022, 05:37 AM - Forum: General Chat - Replies (13) For some months now I have been packing up my late mum's house. It's been a huge undertaking (and still is) however thankfully we're finally nearing the end of packing up, hopefully we'll be finished in a few weeks. My question is this: We will be moving some 7-8 hours away to a different province and a much smaller home. Any advice travelling such a long distance with the kitties (and Bailey) would be appreciated.
